A project should typically have a production default environment (usually main/master). All other environments will be considered development environments in the context of resource allocation.
Containers in development environments do not follow the
size specification. Application containers are set based on the plan’s setting for Environments application size. The default is Standard , but you can increase it by editing your Environment application size within your Plan settings. (Service containers in development environments are always set to Standard size and if you need a bigger size container for development raise a ticket).
You may encounter this error "property big_dev is not allowed" when trying to change Environment application size to Medium because the Medium size has been temporarily disabled due to the fact that this size shared equal resources with the Standard size. We have left it for now as an "option" considering that some customers are already on the Medium size and removing this option will trigger errors in their projects.
Therefore, if you wish to increase your Environment application size, you will need to choose the next available size> Large.
