Project metrics are an overview of resource allocations and usage for a project environment. Metrics are currently shown on the Console webUI under the “Metrics” tab for all environments on a project. The metrics view is a demonstration of both live and historical CPU, memory (RAM), and storage (disk) allocations and usage for the selected environment.
The metrics tab can be considered a live monitoring view of these statistics, and reflect the per-minute usage of the available statistics of the selected environment. Each container has specific metrics sections within the view. The historical metrics views are a rolling history of each monitoring update for the selected historical view.
Depending on your organisation tier and environment type, the length of historical metrics available will change:
- On Professional-tier projects, the available rolling historical intervals are the last 15 minutes, the last hour, and the last eight hours.
- On Elite and Enterprise-tier Grid projects, the rolling intervals are the same as on Professional projects. For all Dedicated projects, the intervals are the last 15 minutes, the last hour, and the last 24 hours.
Elite and Enterprise customers can purchase the Observability Suite per project for longer historical intervals, as well as other included benefits. The inclusion of the Observability Suite will extend the historical tracking views up to the last 30 days of metrics measurement. Contact your Account Manager to include the Observability Suite in your
At present, console metrics are available for application CPU, memory and storage usage, as well as service CPU and storage usage where appropriate. All containers that show storage metrics reflect both persistent and temporary (/tmp) storage allocations and usage.
Please note that at this time, memory usage statistics for all service containers are not available through the Console metrics view, due to technical restrictions.
